Forum: toronto Subject: Very cool PDF version of these books from HP-labs

The good folks at HP-Labs have been working overtime. They have downloaded the processed jpegs of the canadian library collection and produced PDF's that are very cool.

http://www.archive.org/texts/texts-details-db.php?collection=toronto&collectionid=englishbookbindings00davenuoft&from=mostViewed

Features:
* color
* really compressed (try doing this with a linux compressor!)
* OCR so you can search for words and pop up the right page.
* Even detecting the chapter heads and building a PDF table of contents (in this book it is particularly challenging, but it useful even in this state)

Please take a look and enjoy.

Given enough positive feedback, they might do this for all the books in the collection.

The book you link to has three PDF versions. What are the differences?
